History
Tselentis & Collett was started in 1983 when Derek Collett and Spiro Tselentis left Price Waterhouse to start up on their own. Spiro Tselentis relocated to Johannesburg and the firm now has four Partners and operates from its own premises in Derby Downs Office Park in Westville, Durban.
With a 30 year history behind it, the practice is able to provide a wide range of professional services which includes accounting, auditing, taxation, secretarial and business consulting. Our client base consists mainly of small- to medium- sized enterprises (SME’s) across different industry types.

Partners
Derek Collett, CA(SA)
Derek qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982 and started Tselentis & Collett with Spiro Tselentis. Derek has gained extensive experience in accounting, auditing, taxation, valuations, as well as group structuring.
Teddy Naidoo, CA(SA)
Teddy qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1988, and became a Partner at Tselentis & Collett in 1989. With over 20 years of experience in public practice, Teddy has extensive knowledge in all areas of auditing, accounting, taxation and group structuring, as well as computerised accounting packages.
Hugo Benadie, CA(SA)
Hugo joined Tselentis & Collett as an Audit Supervisor / Manager in 1994, after completing his SAICA training contract at Deloitte. In 2005, he was admitted as a Partner. Hugo has experience in auditing, accounting, taxation and providing business advice to SME’s.
Jason Walker, CA(SA)
Jason completed his SAICA training contract at Tselentis & Collett, before travelling overseas to gain international experience. In London, Jason worked in telecommunications and auditing. On return to South Africa, Jason became a Partner at Tselentis & Collett, and his area of expertise includes auditing trust accounts, taxation and providing business advice.
